BAD DAY!

Have you ever had a bad day? That just didn't seem to go away? Day after Day it just continues to plague you! They say we make our own luck, whether its bland or rich. I wish for the later, rich! There are so many things you can do if you're rich. That's one thing I wouldn't do is throw away anyof it. With bills stacking up and more coming in evry day. Monthly receipt going down and less money coming in which really hurts. So if we make our own luck, I must be holding my mouth wrong for my luch seems to never chance for the better, it just gets worse. Anyway, its not all bad. At lease I'm working and in good health. I hope and pray everyone out there stays safe and well. My prayers for all of you beric h with family and keep distance from others. 'MAY GOD BEST.'

HARDSHIP!

Hardship, we all feel the effects of this pandemic and we all wish it would soon get over with. Everything we do somehow affects our mental state.  We go out to the movies, go out to eat, do shopping and many other things. With this going on we have stopped do anything but stay at home. Going outside in our back yard or walking our dogs, but staying a good six feet away from any other dog walker.

Yes, even speaking to our friends or neighbors has stopped unless it’s through texting, or emails. After a couple of weeks everyone becomes depressed or angry over the situation and just want it to stop.

We’re all in this together and we all have to support one another in this time of need. People who are going through depression need to reach out to help lines to help them through this time of need.

Now I know what you are thinking. Speak to a consular or a skink? I’m not crazy why should I speak to one of those guys? The answer is simple. They can help relieve some of the pressure you are feeling.

We’re all in this together. We’re all feeling the same thing and we’re all in this together. Asking for help isn’t a sign of weakness like you might have thought. It’s a sign of strength. Knowing you need help and asking for it. There are many hot lines to call. So if you are feeling depressed or a lot of anxiety then ask for help. There their for a reason, it’s doesn’t mean you are weak.
MAY GOD BLESS, AND KEEP YOU SAFE!

DISASTERS!

DISASTERS!

Have you thought about it? Really thought about how many disasters there have been in the world?

Every generation goes through some type of disaster. Whether it’s sickness like the flu, which killed thousands or polo that affected thousand of children before there was a vaccine.

How about the wars, here in the United States a long time ago or the wars overseas our brothers, fathers, and husbands fought in. Think of how many soldiers have been killed. From World War I through the war we fought recently. How many families had to bury their family members. This was also a disaster.

Floods, Fire, illness and global warming also fall into the category of disasters. Think about the stories your Grandparents or great Garand parents past down through the generations to generations, even the plague falls into the category of disasters.

From drought, to locus, floods, and bad crops effecting families. Every so many years disasters hits. Earthquakes, volcano’s to seismic waves happen without warning most times, and even tornadoes.

I remember my father back in the fifties things were so bad he killed rates for a silver dollar a day. I also remember my grandparents meeting the food truck once a month for power milk and a box of cheese. What do you remember about your childhood.

Was your childhood, filled with similar stories? Or, did you have the great life of the rich? It doesn’t matter if you did, you still could experience the effects of a tornado or hurricane, even a flood. My children will tell their children and great grand children about the terrible house fire that burnt our house to the ground. Leaving nothing but ashes to shift through to find anything of value left behind only to find nothing that hadn’t been destroyed.

Yes it doesn’t matter whether you are rich or poor we can all find some sort of disaster in our lives and if none have occurred to you yet, be prepared it will. Now, or in the future you will experience some sort.

It depends on how you handle it. Whether you dust yourself off and go on or sit down and feel sorry for yourself. It’s up to you.

MY GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU SAFE.

Sunday

Sunday

Someone asked my why I write my BLOG on Sunday. I really didn’t have an answer. I found Sunday to be the most logical day for me to be free of the work-week and the day I can concentrate on writing my blog. It is the day, I can think of what I want to write. Come up with something I hope that everyone can read what I write.

Yes, I seem to be rambling on. That’s what blogs are for. Not necessarily to ramble on, but write interesting things. If you don’t have anything interesting to say, oh well.

The month of March has gone by so fast I can’t remember the start of it. I do know I hate the time change. But every year I hate the time change. I wish they would just leave it one way or the other. It is always so hard to get use to.

It is nice the sun stays up longer, and when you get home from work you still have time to work in the yard or just sit out and enjoy the outdoors. The days become longer and the heat rises. The children like the days longer for it gives them more time to paly before bath-time and going to bed.

I have ten great grand children and they all feel the same. It’s great to see them out playing all the childhood games that I use to play when I was a young girl. Although my children and my grandchildren plus my great grandchildren think I was never a young girl.

Playing hide and seek, red rover, rover send blank over. Jump-rope and hop scotch and don’t forget jacks where all games we played. Now the kids today have cell phones and Ipads, throw a couple of computers. This is how the kids of today spend there time. I guess everything changes with time.

Have you ever thought about what times would be like twenty years from now? When they have children? What will the children play then?

With the country in lock down and everyone becoming locked up in their homes, things like cards and board games should bring back memories of the past and younger years.

MAY GOD BLESS!

A Day Of FUN!!

A day of fun!

I had the chance to talk to a group of people at “Tell Your Story” at the Coconut Creek Library this Saturday. It is always fun to talk about something you love. I love writing and keep readers guessing as to who done it.

Now most people think I’m the quiet type, those that know me really well, think I talk too much. And others whom have never met me, well, they have yet to form an opinion. When they get a chance to really know me, their opinion chances. Whether it’s good or bad it doesn’t matter to me for if people are talking about you, well, it deepens the inquisitive mind as to who you think I really am.

It’s fun to keep people guessing about who you really are. That’s the fun of keeping people guessing. The same about writing a book, you can start out weak, or strong, but trying to keep people from going to sleep while reading your novel is the trick.

Throwing some red herons in the mix will keep them interested and turning the page. They will not be able to put it down for they have figure out your next move. The laugh is on them for you are two steps ahead of them all through the novel until the very end.

A lot of people this day in time, now chose to have audio books they can listen to, on the train, in their car or on their daily work-out routine. Me, myself, I like to do it the old fashion way, holding a book in my hands and reading it. Why I even like reading to my pet Skipper, who is my touchiest critic. During our editing sessions, he always falls asleep on me. If he hears the excitement in my voice he stays away. If I read slowly and not to fast it puts him right out.

Well, enough of my ongoing, spill over into the next chapter. I hope you enoyed my talk yesterday if you attended my PI talk, and if you didn’t I hope you enjoyed the book fair and all the presentation that were given.

MAY GOD BLESS!

THE BRASS RING!

The Brass Ring!

Have you ever heard of the Brass Ring? Long time ago on the Merry-Go-Round they had set-up on a par a semi brass ring and the object was as the merry go round came around you were suppose to grab the ring. If you got it, well you would win either money or life time rides on the Merry-Go-Round.

But what people didn’t know was the ring was place strategy just far enough away so it was unreachable. So no matter how hard you tried to reach out and grab it, it was impossible to grab. This was a marketing tool used to get you to buy more rides.

Now the price of a ticket to ride as only ten cents but that ten cents would turn into a dollar and than two dollars before they would give up. Think about it, ten cents or one dollar was a lot of money back in the thirties and forties. Why, the premium for a life insurance police was ten cents a month for a life insurance policy.

A fellow wanting to impress a girl would spend his whole weeks pay check just for one more try. Most of the time He would fail and get off the ride, broke, disappointed, and angry that he had failed.

How many times in life do we try to grab that brass ring? Buying a lottery ticket every week for that one chance it will be the winner! The numbers come up and no, it wasn’t the right one. The next week, next month, the next year, maybe it’ll be the right one. But for most it never comes.

Well, don’t be discouraged, one day that ticket might just win. Maybe you’ll be the one to grab that brass ring. When, the time is right, and the planets line up in the right order it just might be possible. As I tell my children, never give up, try, try, and try again.

“May God Bless!”

Disappointment!

How many times have you been disappointed in your life? One, two, three times? I mean really disappointed. Me I’ve been disappointed more times than I have fingers and toes. Life has a way of letting us down or is it because of something we’ve done?

When you find out the news you were expected was the opposite of what you were looking for do you cry? Do you become angry? Or do you just crawl into a hole and slowly show in your body language you are not happy.

I tell my children that old saying, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. This is little comfort to them and to me. When your child is upset it tends to make us upset also for we can’t make it better. Who makes us feel better when we’re upset? Nobody! Somehow we get over it and move on with our lives. It takes a lot to cover up our disappointment, but we do move on.

As adults we’re expected to be strong, courageous and hold our heads up high. Most of us can, but it isn’t easy. We have to become super humans at times. It can be very taxing on our physical being and to our emotional stability. Somehow,  we do manage to pull through. If not we seek emotional help from a professional.

Well, I’ve made a lot of lemonade and without sugar it really is sour!

MAY GOD BLESS!

Life!

Life? Have you ever stopped to think about your life? When you are in your mothers’ womb, you are cradled with love and protection from harm. When you are born your mother and father watch over you, feed, clothe, keep you warm, protect you from danger and give you all the love they can share.

Once you start that first day of school at age five, your mother cry’s because you are growing up fast. That is in her eyes, your eyes think only about the fear about being away from you home, mother and all the protection you’ve known for the past five years. You are becoming independent and making friends that will last through all your school years. If your family doesn’t move.

Next comes your teenage years, these are very difficult for you are now changing physically and emotionally. Becoming opinionated, about your views and passions. Looking at life in a completely different line of thought. The opposite sex is now on your mind and dating. Then comes the first love of your life. The famous saying, “I love you” goes through your mind and if you break up, “I’ll just die!” But we all know you will never forget your first love, but there will always be other loves in your life.

Your parents believe it or not, hurt right alongside you when you hurt, they hurt also. Then comes college. Your mother again cries when you leave home for the first time. She knows she can’t protect you from the world and you are now on your own so to speak. This is the first time you are truly on your own. Your parents have tried to prepare you for this all of the seventeen or eighteen years of your life.

You are now considered an adult! Whoopee! Although you have dreamed of being an adult, you still have questions on how the world really works and yes you will make mistakes, but that is life. We learn from our mistakes, or we’re suppose to learn from them. Some of us are hard headed and have to make the same mistake two or three times before we learn what that listen was. Thank goodness for our parents, for we can always pick up a telephone and say help!

Now you are through with college and you take your first job, get married, and have that first baby. Your life has now gone full circle as to what your parents had gone through. Yes this is life. It depends on you as to how hard it is or how easy it becomes.

Yes, you should think back at your life from the first steps you took to present day. How has your life turned out? Easy or hard, it is your life and it is what your family remembers about you.

May God Bless!
