Sleuth Fest What a Blast!

Boy what an exciting time the past days has been. It was our annual Sleuth Fest with Book agents, Book publishers and experts from all over the United States, were in attendance. Mystery writers have some of the in attendance.

I had the privilege to work the registration desk and got to meet everyone first. With several one hour and half seminars on all types of subjects it was one of the best we’ve had. Learning from some of the best authors, and publishers, all the tricks of the trade. It’s very had as a new author to get answers to questions you would normally never get the change to ask.

Even though sometimes the questions we ask seem simple, or really stupid, they make you feel they are just as important as a complex question. That’s what learning is all about. Being able to ask those stupid questions and get a real answers. Ones we can put to actual use by simple means.

For those of us that are not tech savvy they make is simple for us to use.

It’s also nice to meet people and be able to talk to them on a one to one basis. They don’t make you feel like you are interrupting them or that you are a nobody, so don’t bother me attitude.

Andrew Gross was our key note speaker and what story he had to tell. He just had open heart surgery a month ago, but still came to speak to us. He is just like all of us, down to earth, good old boy!

Being able to attend and being able to part of such a great program, it truly was a great conference.

Well I don’t know if I’ll put all the things I was taught to use in my novels and for my novels but I do know I’m going to try. It couldn’t hurt as they say.

Well I’ve bent your ear long enough so I’ll close.

                                May God Bless!
